Jim Carrey is currently in talks to return as the iconic green grouch, while Ron Howard is set to return as director and producer alongside his longtime Imagine Entertainment partner, Brian Grazer.

The screenplay is being written by acclaimed comedy writers Alec Berg, Jeff Schaffer, and David Mandel.
The trio is known for their work on hit productions including Barry, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Veep, bringing decades of comedy experience to the long-awaited sequel.
The Return of the Christmas Box Office Classic
The original How the Grinch Stole Christmas was one of the biggest films of 2000, earning USD260 million in the US and USD345 million worldwide.
The movie also won the Academy Award for Best Makeup, thanks to its impressive transformation of Jim Carrey into Dr. Seuss’ iconic character.
Carrey has previously spoken about the demanding makeup process, which initially took around eight hours each day before being reduced to approximately three hours during production.
