The currently untitled project will be directed by Dylan Clark, who is also overseeing revisions to the screenplay originally written by Chris Thomas Devlin.
The film is part of a broader partnership between Lionsgate and Blumhouse aimed at reimagining some of Lionsgate’s most iconic horror properties.
Several key figures from the original Blair Witch Project are returning in producer roles. Original cast members Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams will serve as executive producers alongside original filmmakers Eduardo Sánchez, Daniel Myrick, and Gregg Hale.
