Synopsis
Based on the famous Korean web novel and manhwa Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, this thrilling big-screen adaptation brings a high-stakes fantasy to life, starring Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Min-ho.
Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo-seop) is an average office worker whose sole obsession is reading a web novel titled Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse. One day, the novel becomes terrifyingly real—and the world begins to fall apart exactly as written. But Dok-ja is the only person who knows how the story ends.
Armed with this realization and his “omniscient reader’s viewpoint,” Dok-ja uses his deep knowledge of the plot, characters, and world mechanics to rewrite fate. As he navigates this deadly new reality, he crosses paths with Yoo Joong-hyuk (Lee Min-ho), the novel’s original protagonist—a powerful, stoic warrior trapped in a time loop of endless destruction.
Together, they must form an uneasy alliance, battling ruthless scenarios, unravelling hidden truths, and challenging the very narrative that controls them. Will Dok-ja succeed in altering the story’s ending—or is some fates too deeply written to escape?
