The Playable Trailer Was Revealed in a Tokyo Event

The Tokyo event brought together several members of the film’s cast, including Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa, and Japanese wrestler Hirooki Goto.

They were joined by Japanese voice talent Eiko Kano, director Kitao Sakurai, and Street Fighter game director Takayuki Nakayama to celebrate the launch of the movie’s global promotional tour.

What Is the New Street Fighter Movie About?

Set in 1993, the movie follows estranged fighters Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo. The pair are drawn back into action when the mysterious Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament.

What begins as another fighting tournament soon develops into a deadly conspiracy, forcing Ryu and Ken to confront their troubled past, their relationship with each other, and enemies determined to bring their journey to a brutal GAME OVER.

Director Kitao Sakurai is bringing the colourful world of the legendary arcade games to the big screen, complete with Hadoukens, powerful roundhouse kicks, familiar fighting techniques, and a huge roster of fan-favourite Street Fighter characters.
