What Is Avengers: Endgame Encore?

Avengers: Endgame Encore is a newly enhanced cinema presentation of the 2019 Marvel blockbuster. The re-release has a confirmed runtime of 185 minutes and will feature updated colour grading.

It will also be shown in IMAX and Infinity Vision venues. Infinity Vision is Disney and Marvel’s screen certification for cinemas with screens at least 45 feet wide, Dolby 7.1 surround sound and the required brightness standards.

Do You Need to Watch It Before Avengers: Doomsday?

According to directors Joe and Anthony Russo, yes.

The Russo brothers have described Endgame Encore as “required viewing” because it acts as a story bridge between Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday.

While Doomsday will also build on the many MCU stories released since Endgame, the new material in Encore is meant to create a more direct narrative connection between the two Avengers films.

Avengers: Endgame Encore is coming to Malaysian cinemas on Sept 24, 2026.
